This is my first post of hopefully many, many more!! I first became interested in photography in high school. It sounds corny, but I have GOT to thank my art teachers for that!! I was a total art nerd in high, and took as many art classes as I could. Art has always been my creative outlet and my husband constantly makes fun of me for having 100's of projects going at one time! I guess that's what happens when you're constantly exploring your own creativity!
When my oldest daughter Rayna was born I knew - I HAD TO CAPTURE EVERY MOMENT I COULD! That was going to be my way to freeze time, if only for just a second! I think I probably had 500-600 pictures within her first month! My husband thought I was crazy, but he has enjoyed looking back now at the mountains of photo albums we have now! I just couldn't stop - everything was a photo opportunity!! I have LOVED photography from the start. It's so expressive - so priceless and timelesss - and 4 years ago when I bought my first nice camera it was my intention to learn everything I could about it and pursue photography as a secondary career. WELL...4 years later - here I am - finally ready to take that plunge! I certainly wouldn't change the course of events because in 4 years I've had two beautiful daughters, and they have been my inspiration for "practicing" as much as I have! In fact, they are a huge reason I'm taking this leap - so that I can provide them with everything they need (ok...or want...hahaha)! It wasn't until this year that I really started experimenting with the addition of my 2nd daughter, Maycee, and just want to keep going! I know that I'm creative...it's what makes Sarah Werner - Sarah Werner after all! I've always been that artsy fartsy girl whether it be painting...or drawing...or scrapbooking...or photography...or just about anything else! I know it annoys my poor husband, but I've constantly got different ideas running through my head, and I'm excited to start using some of them and helping people capture those timeless moments! I am loving every minute of realizing this dream that I've had!!
I am certain that this will be the best adventure that I've ever set out on! I do know this so far - at the end of every day, I know I could say I LOVE MY JOB if photography is what I'm doing! I look forward to meeting new people and "freezing" those fleeting moments in time that fly by way too fast. So what are you waiting for? Those priceless moments are passing you by the longer you wait - let's create together!!
