Megan -- a FUN senior session!!!
I have known parents for quite a while now because our husbands both worked together at one point. I was sooo excited when Connie contacted me to do Megan's senior pictures! I had never met Megan, but mom said she loves photography and wanted to have a fun outdoor session. I loved Megan's outfits that she brought along - they were so cute and she was a natural in front of the camera! As we explored and talked she is either going to school for photography or psychology. Both very cool choices (I encouraged the photography naturally...hahahaha)! I know that we captured some great pictures and I can't wait to finish them all for them all to see! I wish you a lot of fun and laughter for your last high school year and wish you nothing but the best in your future!
Three boys, an Old Mill and a WHOLE lotta fun!
I had the pleasure of taking pictures for the Mullens family. I am so glad that Amy contacted me to take pictures of her family, and I was thrilled when she said she had 3 young boys - 6, 5, and 10 months! I LOVE taking pictures of children and families! Amy even found a new spot - an old mill out by Rossville. I had never been, but instantly was in love when I arrived! There were so many things to use for cool backdrops, and the day itself was gorgeous! It was funny because the weather had been rather cool leading up to that day, and then as unpredictable as Indiana weather can be it was like 80 degrees! Jack - the oldest - was such a helpful brother, and he was such a "poser" as his mom said! Instantly ready to flash that big smile that was missing a tooth! And Carter - the 2nd oldest - was quiet at first but as we moved around he let more and more of himself come out! He was even battling a broken collar bone, which I can't imagine would be comfortable for anyone! And little Cade - the wee little one - was a sweety!!! He almost always had a smile on his face, and was sooo curious about where he was! He was exploring everything! I love that age - so innocent! We got some great pictures, and I can't wait for mom to explore her gallery! We talked about potentially doing a winter shoot at the old covered bridge just down the road! I LOVE Christmas time and am already thinking of ideas! hahaha! Thanks again so much for contacting me about pictures! It was such a pleasure to work with you all!!

Yellow Flowers, Binoculars and Summer Time Fun!!
What a FUN family session we had! The weather was BEAUTIFUL - could not have asked for a better day! Little Miss Riley was full of energy when we started, but by the time we ended she remarked "this is a lot of work for me!" hahaha! It is hard being cute!! She was quite the explorer, all day long, searching and wandering - looking for that next spot! She even pointed out a few for me!! Mom and Dad were such good sports, too! I had a car full of props, and low and behold I locked my keys in the car!! I couldn't believe it - but our "fun session" will resume in a couple weeks! Hopefully by then little Miss Riley will be rested up from today's session, and I guarantee - there's a LOT of fun things to play with for the idea I have!! Thank you Weida family for having me capture your family pictures and Riley's 3rd birthday pictures :).

Overalls, Jerseys and a Bright Yellow Dress!
The weather seemed like it was not going to cooperate for our pictures for our morning session; however, we wait for about a half hour and then ran outside to beat anymore rain! Momma brought sooo many cute outfits for Brady that I couldn't wait to start taking pictures!! Also, Mr. B's daddy is a huge PATS fan, so it was only appropriate that he have some pictures in his PATS jersy. And how cool to have a jersey with your very own name on it already?? His best friend Sydney came along to help with Brady and some pictures of her own! It was fun jumping back and forth between a girl and boy!!! Girly one minute - Manly another! hahaha! I had so much fun that morning! Thanks so much for bringing the kids out Chrissy and Angie!!

Mr. T -- Apples Anyone?
Mr. T's mom is a good friend of mine and we were going to be having dinner one evening. I asked her if I could bring along my newest prop (yes, I am a prop junkie) and she said absolutely!! hahaha! We had about 8 minutes before dinner was ready and we ran outside really quick! I don't think that Mr. T quite knew what was going on, but what a great sport he was! I'm happy to say that we made it back inside in 8 minutes and we had a great meal together! Thanks momma for letting me try out my new prop on your little cutie!!
Kyle + Kaity = Engaged!!!!
I LOVE "in love" ones! Engagement sessions have sure changed from the "traditional" old school woman's hand on her future husbands chest, showing off the ring. It's funny that the ring used to be the "highlight" of the picture. Don't get me wrong - the ring is SURE important, but I LOVE that most of my clients want candid sessions - just them being them! Kaity and Kyle were NO exception and I was so excited for their session! I love it when they say - just run with it! And that we did. Funny thing is that mother nature was supposed to NOT cooperate that day, and I was happily surprised when I woke up that morning - sun a shinin! I showed up about 15 minutes early to our session (as did they) and we started right away! About half-way through the session Kyle's dad let him know that a huge storm was coming our way and we had about another hour. Well, he then text back about 10/15 minutes later and said...ummmm...it's headed here much sooner! hahaha! So we scrambled to finish up and just as we did it started to lightly rain. By the time we'd walked back to our cars the sky was brown as dirt, the wind was really beginning to pick up, and I thought to myself - WHOA - this is going to be quite a storm! And it was!! Luckily we all made it out AND we got some GREAT pictures during the time we had! Thanks again Kaity and Kyle for the fun evening AND the fun memories! Much love and luck to you both!
A Morning at the Park...Family Session
I was THRILLED when Mom contacted me to do a family session for them at Happy Hollow Park. I LOVE that place and the weather had finally normalized where I knew it wouldn't be torture for everyone! Plus - there were 5 kids!!! I just LOVE meeting children and getting a glimpse into their personalities, and this family was amazing!!! They ranged from 16 to 1, so there was quite a variety!! Even though our session was during "nap"time for Mr. B - I think that we still got some great shots (and I'm a momma that loves even the crying ones at time because I often worry I'll forget how CUTE their crying was one day when they are crying because they don't want to do what they're told...hahaha)! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for letting me preserve some fun memories for you all! It was SOOOO much fun!
